F.A.Q.

Where do the classes/ workshops take place?

All our courses are based at our workshop 67 Belsize Lane, London NW3

Will you bring your classes in to schools?

Local schools generally come to our premises, ( one school arranged for every year group to visit) but we have taken our courses into schools as far away as Richmond. Contact us to discuss your requirements.

From what age can my child take part in your courses?

Our Tiny Hands group starts from age 6

Do you offer private sessions?

Yes we can arrange for private sessions – please contact us to discuss your requirements.

My Child has never used a sewing machine before?

No problem, most of our students start never having sewn before. We will introduce them to the machine and get them confident. We have a number of starter projects that don’t require using the machine, as well as many many crafts skills to learn. But it won’t be long before they are confidently producing clothes and accesories that will amaze you.

My Child has designed a dress can she make it?

Yes, our students have 3 times shown their original work at London Fashion Week but……..
She will need to convert the picture into a pattern and as you can imagine that is a difficult skill. The way a dress might hang in a picture and the practicality of that is an art in itself. However as we have a large portfolio of projects it is quite possible we have something similar enough to lend it self to this. Then its just a matter of the skills necessary to cut, pin and sew.
Our experience tells us that the best way to realise a project like this is first to pick all the skills along the way by working through our projects until the knowledge and confidence is there.
