(kids and adults) run by a former LHD teacher! They also have a great summer camp programme for kids!
“We encourage everyone to work on their own projects with lots of help and inspiration from us and each other! Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of sharing a great hobby with like-minded people and learn amazing things!”
Adult THRIVE Club
We are currently running two adult courses every Wednesday and from September 2023, we have our new Thursday evening session.
These practical, hands-on, fun-packed sessions will teach you how to develop your own unique dress sense, and how to design and make clothes and accessories whilst being mindful of the environment.
In class you will learn, but is not limited to:
- How to use sewing machines
- Clothes and accessory making
- Upcycling skills
- Repair, mending and alteration skills
- Design skills with a purpose
One of the things we love about our adult courses here at Little Hands Design is the variety of people and abilities that keep coming back for more! We have absolute beginners who have never even threaded a needle before, to experienced dressmakers who want to perfect their finishes and tailoring techniques all in the same sessions. The collaboration from both sides of the spectrum is beneficial to both skilled and beginning designers!
We pride ourselves on being that little bit different to other courses. You don’t have to make what we say, the course is totally lead by you and what you want to create. Whether that’s demystifying dressmaking patterns, copying and remaking your favourite clothes, or making home-wares.
Sounds good so far? Don’t just take our word for it… here’s what our current students have to say!
I appreciate that I can work at my own pace and do not have to rush. I want I make my own projects and like the flexibility of the class where not everyone has to make the same. (MIKA)
